Short somewhere
Iv noticed my corner light turns on when i turn the **** for the headlights but my dash lights stay on, and it drains my battery(I found out the hard way). could it be the headlight switch or is there a short somewhere.

Can you try to explain this a little further. I don't understand what you mean by turn the ****. If your headlights, or parking lights (I think thats what you meant by corner lights) are on and you try to turn on the interior lights by turning the **** then all three will be on. Try pushing in and turning that should just do the interior, middle position is parking, fully extended is headlights. If this is not accurate to what you see, please explain in more detail.

It appears the main issue he's having is the headlight switch isn't turning off the dash lights. Is the switch loose and wobbly in the dash? The headlight switch mounting stud on my 3rd gen was broken (quality plastic switch housing), and the switch was loose in the dash. Perhaps if yours is loose, the switch isn't turning off all the way when you push it in, because it isn't pushing in all the way?

The main problem is the gauge lights dont turn off when the car is off so it drains the battery. And instead of the gauge lights dimming the corner lights dim. Even the light on the shifter stays on. Im not good at electrical stuff so I really have no idea

I've been having a few problems with my interior lights as well. I recommend looking at everything. I looked at posts all around the internet and apparently it could be as simple as unplugging something, cleaning it up, and putting it back and it works fine... Frustrating
