A shift kit is modification kit that makes an automatic transmission shift firmer than normal. It generally requires removing the transmission oil pan, making changes or replacing parts, usually to the valve body.
A "411" is an abbrevated way of describing a final drive gear ratio. The proper expression would be 4.11 : 1, which means, in case of a rear drive car, that for every 4.11 turns of the driveshaft, the wheel axle will make 1 turn. Also means that the torque provided by the driveshaft is multiplied by 4.11 times, while the rotational speed is divided by 4.11 times. There are many different gear ratios available, depending on need.
