a sad, sad day
i was told today that if i cant have my car at least moveable by winter ( when the boat comes home..) i will have to either sell the car, or rig it to set on an old water wagon and out in the elements.. So im kinda hosed. i cant afford the new parts. I might have to just throw on old parts for now. might have to sell it anyway i look at it though, its been sitting stagnant for over a year now. But in its current shape, id be lucky to get 800 bucks for it. even if i put it back together a bit. its in a shed. so its not like anything is happening to it, other than getting dirty.
I did think if the parents just want a good place to keep the boat, i WILL pull that POS Grand Am of mine out and leave it to the elements rather than my baby. I still have everything to put it back on the ground, at least well enough to move.
i assume that i can move the car with just front springs? no need for the shocks with no motor or tranny. Since im just gonna move it here and there anyway.

Too bad, I always thought you were involved in a endless project. Now you know that these cars are a endless money pit. So the problems continue with a car in pieces and lack of money and it will never stop. For example: this Summer I replaced...all the steering parts, Struts & Shocks. Body work on the front nose (not damage) and the radiator & hoses. This was over $2500 in parts & labor. And that was just maintenance on a car I owned from day one..
well its not costing me a dime just sitting there. im gonna talk to them a bit more. i will continue on the project when the money returns. things are slow at my work. but are on the rise. So when my other more important bills get taken care of, then the camaro will get some more parts put on it
because im **** on how my car looks. couldnt do much about the Camaro, didnt look that great to start with. But the GA does and i like to keep it that way. but ill sacrafice that to keep the camaro anyday.
not worried about the money pit thing. i can sell it later and get at least some back, though not even close to what i put into it. cant do that with pot, beer, movies, and other things like that. Not to mention the fun i have working on the camaro and driving it, if i can get it put back together.. not really a matter of knowing how. at this point its more a matter of money. HOPEFULLY next summer i can get back on the ball with it.

Good luck on keeping the Camaro though bro.
I accepted that a long time ago... I've got about 7 thousand into my 83 as it sits today, and I still have a long ways to go. It's just money though, I enjoy spending it on Camille and she enjoys it even more, so I'll have fun with it while it lasts.
Good luck on keeping the Camaro though bro.

if u can find. not so easy now days.
I can't believe it cost that much for steering, I mean it's a chevy! My 620 datsun pickup cost only a couple hundred for the same stuff.
