running rich

Default running rich

i have a 87 camaro 305 carb i had some issues with fuel pump all sorted now , but it runs rich , my eng light comes on says 02 sensor running rich what do i need to do to fix this , i have replace the carb , elect fuel pump ( the low pressure one ) all plugs and wires , cap and rotor button . it start great and runs great at idle you can smell it and your eyes burn ,
need some info please

You still have a computer controlled carb, not a stand alone aftermarket? What code number are you getting?

o2 running rich think it was 45 maybe

i replaced the carb with a OEM and my shop felt it was bad so i got another one ,, still runs rich burns your eyes ,, got to be some thing else

Check codes again. O2 sensor would keep it rich with incorrect reading

right thats were i am now the o2 is reading rich , unplug it ? i would still get a light no ?

If no codes are coming up check the basic stuff again. Choke coming off after warm up? Vac leaks leading to abnormal idle? Engine light on says code,you need to have that rechecked which is free at most parts stores.
