I plain on getting a 4 bolt 350 putting very nice parts on her and dropping it in. If I go over 300HP though I am going to need a new tranny

 

i just converted my 1989 rs v6 to have a 400 small block. got rid of the computer and everything. Let me tell you it was a chore but it was well worth it in the end. I have a T350 behind the motor and the only thing i have not got fixed is that the speed o is 10 mph faster then what you are actually going. Good luck and im sure you will enjoy.

 

depending on the hp level you are planning on doing a 2 bolt would suffice.it will all depend on how much money you have. how far you are willing to take the car.

you don't HAVE to have a new tranny. You can buy a kit for it and build it up so you don't have to worry bout it.

 

By the time these Posts finally end the HP numbers will be up to 500. Also RS, Learn to spell.

 

Motor swap is far from trivial. Beware of what you're getting into.

You originally wanted some more get up and go from the 305. Then you said you wanted around 300hp. Now you're saying 450.

Before you make assumptions, do some searching about what is involved in making power, and learn a little about these cars.

 

I found a great 350 kit that's rated at 450HP
