passenger side, on the fire wall, next to the a/c system, you will see the blower motor. you will need a 1/4" universal joint on a socket, and take the blower motor out. the nest is most likely in there. clean all that out (the cabin filter is prolly dirty anyways), and you can work from there. im 75% positive thats where you will find the nest since its the biggest area in the ducting.

Did you take the blower out? That is maybe the easiest place for mice to get in to.Plus it gets full of crap in there any way.

ok so for that I wont have to take the dash out? Thatll be easy as hell so Ill try that first. I just ordered a repair manual so that If I do need to takeout the dash, I will have an idea of what to do.

Ok i took out the blower motor. It was like someone cleaned it recently cause it was clean as hell! So i used a blow gun and a shop vac to see if i could get anything out of it but nothing. I just sprayed the lysol through the intake so itll be fine until I figure out what Ive gotta do.

Ok then they shouldnt have gone in there in the first place... id say let em burn but that would only make the smell worse (If theyre even still in there)

For the love of hades, keep small baggies around for all your screws! Ive said this before, but its especially important in interior work. I swear every time I take apart my dash or trim panel, I wind up with one less screw than I need and 2 longer screws than Im supposed to have!

i see a new possibility in this case. The smell isnt constant. It only comes around from time to time and usually when im driving. It looks like they were living up in the hood insulation. Do you think that the smell could be moving from under the hood through the heater intake?

This is a normal problem and it’s a pain in the *** to deal with. You might want to invest in a hamster roller and make the little busters work for there free housing. Any way be ready to go crazy tying to track it down and be prepared to put up with the smell for some time. If you clean it and clean it over and over then let time drag on it will go away. A word of caution starts preventionnow because they will come bakc and they love the wiring in the F-bodys this is a small problem that can become huge if you let it.
PS it also leads to snakes and yes I have pulled two 3 foot long black snakes out of a 88 305 tbi before they looked like vacuum lines before they started moving.
