replacing starter

RE: replacing starter
usually starter bolts are not too difficult to get to. never done a 3rd gen but ive done it on a few other cars. as long as u know what ur looking for it shouldnt be bad. lift the car up and the starter should be on the passenger side right at the back bottom of the motor, right before the bellhousing of the tranny. 2-3 bolts is all you should need and if it hasnt been taken out in awhile the crud around it may hold it there. a tap with a hammer will pop it out, but dont let it fall because it can damage its wires (which will need to be removed and are just connected with nuts) or it can hit u in the face [&o]

Huh? Starter charged? Isnt that next to the headlight fluid?
Seriously, a starter swap is about the easiest beginner task to do. I did my first on a 1985 Olds Calais 2.5 in the middle of a parking lot in a blinding rain storm. [:'(]
LIke the guys said, make sure your wires go back right...I use a little piece of tape and a black sharpie to label every wire I take off....good luck...
