So I am still wanting to hear from somebody that has removed their emissions. I am going to pull off the smog pump. All of the a.i.r. tubes and am wanting to know if any one else has done this and if so fid they have any problems with their car?

I had a 85 camaro that had a V6 in it and I put in a modified 355. I did not have to use the computer or the emissions stuff and it did not hurt in the performance of the car. The only concern I would have is what happens if you decide to ever get rid of the car? If it don't have the emissions then you could have to take a beating on the car.

If you going with a carburator, you can remove all emission equipment. If you going to go injected, you can remove the cat, egr, and air pump, but you will need most of the other stuff to keep the FI working. Removing these item will not improve performance much.

I am going to keep the TPI because it has all been custom painted. Also I have read that removing the EGR can cause some problems with the air/fuel ratio. I know that it will not increase any power I just want to remove all of that garbage because it is cluttering up my engine bay.
