Ha Ha that got your attention.

Okay I have a 1989 parts car with the Borg Warner 9 inch rear end that also has the 11.56 diameter disk brakes.
Here's the big question, from all the third genereation Camaro's which year model had the strongest rear end?
The resaon I ask is I may be selling the car but wanted to keep the rear end. Mainly because of the larger rear disk which I belive only came on that year model. Plus I have heard the Borg WarnerAutrailian made were the best of this generationbut also harder to get parts for.To replace a completerear end is getting expensive, so I figured it best to hang on to this one just in case the engine I'm installing tears the one in the car now to pieces.
I've also heard the later 90-92 IROC cars had a good rear end.
One other thing, would it be smart to have the axle tubes welded to the bell housing? The little spot weld jsut doesn't look like it would hold up well to the 450 h.p I may be getting out of the engine I plan on installing.
My buddy down the street has a Choo Choo conversion El Camino & we just discovered his rear end had popped the spot weld & his tube spun about 30 degrees. He hasa TPI engine in it.
Okay all I only hav a few days left to decide on keeping or letting the rear end go with the car.

RE: Rearends
The 89 BW 9-bolt with the PBR brakes is the best of the 3rd gen rears offered in only these gear ratios 2:77,3:27 & 3:45. I would hold on to it. compared to the 10-bolts it is the strongest, with 7.75 dia gear and 28 spline axle shafts. Your other questions, you need more research.
