i just spent 1 hour readjusting my rear hatch.what would cause the bottom plate and latch assembly to move out 1/2 inch on its own?

how did you adjust it .....i got rear ended like 2 times in two days and everythings out of wack!!!

pull the trim off the bottom and loosen the 8 nuts then slide it to where you want it

from the top of the hatch or the bottom/trunk ...im gonna have to pull things apart and play with it ...but anything in camaro manual that may help?
