I just bought a 89 rs and i have a 91 mustang that is wrecked and I was wondering if I could switch out rear ends will the ford rear bolt up because i have 373 with posi in it and it's wrecked and I hate to let it go to waste

 

Have you ever heard the term "compared to apples and oranges"? No they wont switch over without a whole lotta work. Your better off making the Camaro rear a 3.73 posi

nope sorry ford and chevy parts are very rarley interchangeable, your best bet is to sell the posi and buy a new one for the rs if you need one, or just buy a posi unit and gears for it.

 

A drivetrain shop can do the swap without much pain, but, it will cost you. It would only be worth it if the Stang rear is an 8.8. they are better than the 7.5 10 bolts and are about on par w/ the 8.5.
