Default ran over an animal

good friend of mine called me and told me his story about running over a dead deer or big dog. anyway here are the issues i am dealing with . door tag says it was built in 1992 and it is a x police car. oil filter adaptor and oil cooler knocked off block the block looks ok. can i just install a new oil filter adaptor and screw the filter on and skip the extra oil cooler? torque converter cover is trashed. auto trans cable is trashed. got any good leads on parts it would help. and of coarse i am working for free. is gm the only avenue for parts.?

its a b4c car w/l98 350 tpi, i'd check out advance auto parts or autozone before going through gm, might be cheaper

I hope that engine got turned off before there was any internal damage......

I would look around the local yards for some of that stuff but findingthe oil cooler might be tough. I'm not sure on using the regular oil filter adaptorbut I can't believe GM made engine blocks different.
