Question regarding lowered 3rd gen
I recently purchased an 87 camaro and it’s been lowered two inches. From a place with harsh winters that creates bumps and potholes in the roads. Do you think this will be safe and a good idea to drive on roads like this in the summer? Don’t want it to bottom out badly. Thanks!

I would say no, but how often are you one on roads that you do not know? how carful do you want to drive? Your Tire size will also effect the over all height of the car. So a 2" drop on a car with 18" wheels and meaty tires could actually sit higher than stock.
Maybe they have gotten better but a 2 inch drop road like crap as a daily driver back in the day IMO.

I have never measured one of my 3rd gens. It was always trial and error. I did like the 245/60R 15 with a 1” drop I had with my 84 when I lived in Johnstown PA.
I still think there are too many variables to give you a number anyways. What one-man thinks is terrible roads to another man may think these are fine. Heck when I lived near the Appalachian trail just going from one township to another township could greatly affect the condition of the roads. I specifically remember areas I would not take my stock height 4th gen without ground effects.
