Default Question About 350????

i have a 350 in my 89 camaro rs and i would like to know what kind of performance mods i can make to it...rite now im intrested in buying headers and exahust system also i would like to know if i kan add a cold air intake?????

Heh,the shy's the limit with a 350 Chevy,it's all about how much you want to spend.

Stop thinking like a ricer. Cold air intakes are for ricers. All they do is lower your intake air to somewhere below under hood temps. Ive quoted this before and cant cite the source, but for every 15 degree reduction in temp you get a 1HP gain. So even if you induct air from the coldest part of the road, you are only talking 15-20 HP at best. You will barely notice any difference.

What you need to do is get a bigger carb, a bigger cam, bigger exhaust and maybe a set of heads. Its a ton of work, but you can net an engine that pushes 350 HP and as much in torque....

The single biggest addition you can make is a bigger carb/FI system...then a cam. Those 2 are worth at about 40-60 HP right off the bat. But its not bolt on tuner bull****...it requires knowledge and expertise. You ready to tear this *****' open?
