jack your rear end up, and put the car in neutral, turn a tire in one direction, and if the other goes in the same direction, then you have posi. the other way to find out is to go to a paved road or parking lot and do a burnout, and if theres 2 black stripes on the ground then ya got posi

[sm=chattypair.gif] Limited Slip (Aka Posi-traction) was a option and all 3rd gen did not have it.
G80 is the RPO for a Limited Slip rear. After all these years it may be shot, so the best and only true way is to remove the axle housing cover and look.Turning the wheels and burnouts are not the best indicators.

If your rear is a 10-bolt the Limited slip carrier will look like the picture .if not it is a open rear.

You should have just rotated one wheel. The burn out is not a good idea but turning a wheel is.
