like it says, im randomly popin a code, but only when i accelerate from a DEAD STOP. If im already movin, and accelerate, im fine, even if im barely moving, but if im completely stopped, ill throw a code for about 10 seconds. Whats the deal? It does jerk around a bit when the light is on, but only when its cold. After its warmed up and all, nothing happens, but the code pops anyway. Any ideas? im stumped.

You have a set-up with so many mis-matched parts you are lucky the car runs at all.
Just my opinion after reading your Posts onhow many problems you are having. There is actually no help that can be given from your writtings[sm=bounceybounce.gif]. What you need is a very good mechanic to sort things out.

 

its probably something minor, a stupid sensor somewhere thats going bad or that is bad. But other than that, the car runs GREAT.

 

its so easy to go carb'd. f the emissions, be a man tom!!

 

Scan the ECM, it may have stored codes. If not, drive around with a scanner plugged in & see what the code is when it happens.

 

well, im emissions exempt in about 3 weeks. but i wanna try and stay FI if i can.

 

Going carbed is just a lazy way if fixing something. Since I live in California and can't do that Ihave always had to fix my original equipment. Do what Pete said and see how that works and let us know.

 

i just got back from buying a code reader, i got tired of not knowing what those little intermediate codes are, ill let yall know tonight what i got.
