Default Please help!

Just bought an 86 Camaro IROC Z28 with a 400 small block, racing cam, and a 750 holly carb stock tran and clutch as far as I know. It starts off a jump but it takes a few attempts. At first we noticed fuel leaking from the top bolt of the fuel bowl closest to the fire wall because the thread is stripped. But it still started. We tightened it with gasket sealer and then fuel shot out the intake like a geyser and over flowed past the air filter. On top of that the wiring to the alternator is getting high resistance so it's not charging the battery which is why it needs jumped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The "bolts" on top of the bowls are the float height adjusters. Gas shouldn't be anywhere near that high, your float levels may be set too high.
Click here: https://camaroforums.com/forum/camar...al-info-66584/ then click on the first link (technical library). Second one down under the Carburetors heading is the float adjustment.
