I got an 87 IrocZ with a 383, would a paxton blower be a good investment.

It depends what you mean by investment. Unless you are spending money on a "real" & rare classic car, or on a professionally raced car, any money you throw at a car is going to result in a loss. What you should ask, is if the money you are spending on the car going to make you happier. That being said, Paxton is a centrifugal supercharger, and as such has many of the characteristics of a turbocharger. Except that because it is belt driven by the engine it has much less lag on coming up to boost speed. The Paxton supercharger has been around many years, and one would assume it is a good reliable product, otherwise it would have gone out of business.

Yeah its about what would make me happier with my car. and im going to be doing little quarter mile races in my home town nothing big. but i would just enjoy a fast car and basicly what im asking is. Is a paxton blowers benefits paralell with its price or is there another way i could get the same perks for a lower cost.
