parts from a 83 T.A. to 89 'Maro
i currently have a 89 camaro rs 5 spd with a 305 its got a cam, lifters, ignition, and exhaust.
i am currently in the process of buying a 83 trans am and i heard that they have posi rear ends with possibly differnet gearing then my camaro does anyone know for sure about that
and if so would it be worth it and also im not sure but im guessing it has the crossfire injection vs. my throttle body injection
anyone know for sure if it would be worth it to switch that out as well
i was looking at forums and posts and from wat ive read the 83 trans ams diddnt have more horsepower then my camaro stock so i diddnt know if that was because of the injection or wat but if anyone has any help for me let me know please!

There a different gear options for every year. As for a limited slip that is iffy. There is a tag on one of the cover bolts that will say if it is limited slip if it has not been removed.
I have kinda heard bad things about the crossfire injection. They might be true, that is why we did not see them for long.
As for swapping parts the differences in a Firebird and a Camaro is the body.

yea ik the body is the difference and i have also heard not to many good things about the crossfire as for the rear end theres something on cover you said is it real noticable ive never looked for this before would it also be on my 89
It has been a while since I looked at one but it is a metal tag on one of the bolts that said either "limited slip" or "friction modifyer needed" or something to that extent. Or jack it up, put it in neutral and hold a wheel while a helper turns the other. If you cant hold one its a posi.
