Default Overheating problem

My car, 92 RS 305 TBI, is overheating even on short trips. There's no white smoke indicating intake leak. I have a dual core radiator, a fan with double the cfm capacity as stock, and a high flow water pump. The water pump works fine, the thermostat works as well. The fan comes on when it's supposed to so that tells me that the cooling fan switch is functioning as well.
Any suggestions on where to start/what to check for or replace?

Thanks

is the coolant bubbling back into the overflow tank? That is overheating. Or, is your temp gauge just showing hot? It might well be just the temp gauge

is the air dam underneath the car still there? If not, it will overheat while driving even with a fan. My 89 fan was not computer controlled so I disconnected from the fan switch in the block and used a Hayden adjustable fan controller with the probe on the radiator. I kicked the fan on at around 205ish

Oh yeah, it's bubbling in the tank. The air dam is there and fairly new. It has a dual core radiator from Becool as well. Maybe the head gaskets???
