Default opinions 335 vs. 350

Currently I am restoring an 84 z28 camaro and everything is complete except for the engine. It still has the original 305 in it with 75k miles on it, and is still running strong. The person that had it before me put a bunch of aftermarket products on it and it runs good, however I want a little more power. After looking at all the posibilities and resources available to me it will cost the same to stroke the 305 or buy a 350 and throw all the bolt-ons on it. Any opinions?

yes the 305 is nice, but if you want good power and want to buld a good motor, then 350 is the way to go.

Is it a new 350 short block (i.e., new rings, bearings, just been built) or a tired old one? If its new or you will rebuild it prior to dropping it in, then cubes are cubes, and 350 is nearly 5% bigger than 335.

Go with the 350. Displacement matters, especially with torque.
