Default Not Sure What To Do?

I'm putting a amp and subs in my camaro and I have my brand new alt from my trailblazer and really wanted to use it instead of buying another one. Is there anywhere I can buy a new updated bracket or wiring harness? All help will be greatly appreciated.

Dan

theres always a way. its a matter of your skills. As far as the alt wiring though. you would have to check the amps. if its too much for your system ( not radio) it will cause much more harm than good.

i would suggest using an alternator that was meant for the the car unless you are good with wiring diagrams and creating mounting brackets for it to fit. now as far as your stereo system, how many watts is it? the factory 90 amp alternator can handle up to a 500 watt system without too many worries. anything higher you will need to find an alternator over 115 amps. i got one at napa a while back when my voltage regulator went bad. the higher the amperage the alternator, the safer it will be. there is a right up here on how to install a 140 amp alternator

The amp is 60 amps and is 700 watts rms. I have a kinetik hc600 to use in the back and I will put my yellow top under the hood. I was hoping there would be an aftermarket bracket for a 350 to use a newer alt. The TB alt is a 140 amp thats why I wanted to use it. I woll do a search for the write up thanks.

Make sure you put thousands of dollars into your stereo system and leave the motor bone stock. (other than a K&N air filter and muffler tip) Dont forget low profile tires and rims!

Sorry, Im the resident ****..... 8-)

Let us know how it works out.

Not really. 8-P

My car has some money in it actually, this winter I want to start to build a 383 stroker. I just have the stuff from other vehicles and thought I might as well use it.

my geo tracker only had a 75 amp alternator and i never actually had any issues with it powering a 400 watt rms/800 peak amp. i did keep in mind though not to use all the lights with the stereo up loud, and turn stuff down/off at idle
