No spark, error codes 53 & 54
My 1990 rs died on me while driving so I used the paper clip test and got error codes 53 which I'm told means the ecm detected voltage over 17 volts and 54 that it detected voltage under 2 volts going to the fuel pump which seem like they contradict themselves. Any unput would be appreciated

There's more than what you listed...
Code 53: System voltage too high (over 17.7 volts to ECM), or EGR system fault, or alternator voltage not normal, or vehicle anti-theft system fault.
Code 54: Fuel pump circuit failure, or mixture control (M/C) solenoid fault, or ECM fault/EGR solenoid #2 failure, or fuel pump relay.
Are you able to hear the fuel pump prime when the key is in the on position? If not, trace the problem to your fuel pump or relay.
Vehicle anti theft is your VATS. Is the security light on in the dash? If that's faulty, it will disable your car. Does the engine still turn over?

I can't hear the fuel pump but I took the fuel lines off and it pumped when I turned the key to run.
It does turn over but it doesn't throw any spark.
I hear a clicking in the engine compartment when I turn the key which I'm guessing is the fuel relay.
Also my security isn't on
