no pressure

My lower radiator hose collapsed so i changed it and decided to change the upper hose, thermostat, cap, and flushed the system. I started the car and let it warm up and felt no pressure on the upper hose. It also got too hot after a test drive around the block. Any ideas on what can cause this.

"It" got too hot? What is the "it", the engine or the upper hose?
If the engine got too hot and you don't feel anything on the upper rad hose, it's quite possible you still have air in the system. When refilling a radiator, I like to squeeze the upper radiator hose near the neck on the engine to burp out any air that's in the hose.

Could be a bad water pump, but I doubt it. Could also be that your thermostat is bad and not opening, even though it is new. Was the engine getting too hot before you changed all those things, or only after? If after, check for air. Start the engine when it's cooled off, and with the radiator cap off. Keep adding coolant slowly until it won't take any more, then put the cap back on. I have a feeling your level may be too low, which will also keep air in the upper rad hose.

it seems like if the hose was colapsing there would be a blockage in the radiatior. its a pressurized system so it is logical it would take a bit to colapse it. when you cleaned the system did you do a reverse flush on the rediator and if so what came out. if its not air and the thermo is good. (put in water and heat till it opens, check water temp if you can) then i would look to the radiator for the problem.
