Check the 8th digit of the VIN as well just to confirm what motor should have been in there. H was the qjet 305 (LG4), 7 was the crossfire 305 (LU5). That should help to at least id what was supposed to be there day 1. Hearing there are headers, a carb and 49K miles makes me very suspicious that it hasn't been messed with, but that may be just as fine if its a solid runner.
