Need interchange info
ok i have 89 cam it had 2.73 ratio before now it has 3.73 ratio
my spedo gears were junk irregardless i need interchange info as to what s10s camaros and fullsize trucks that have mechanical spedos so i can go get the gears i need
thanks...oh btw... anyone got pics o home made belt tensioner setups?
i got rid of the whole left side bracketry with ac and smog and now planning to take factory tensioner and making a bracket for it to mount to the block alone

the s10 ratio might be close if you get them from a 2wd. otherwise they wont be accurate for your tire size. and good luck with removing them with a serp belt, you will need delete pullies for everything to work correctly

As far as the trans/speedo gears. Just order new ones, they are not expensive, and if you input the right data, you will end up with the right gears. Note there are two styles of driven gears because of a gear housing change. Just get the right housing/gear set up and you'll be fine.
As far as the pulley set up goes, leave the air injection pump alone. It costs you no power loss and that way you aren't messing with that pattern. If you absolutely insist on removing it, purchase the delete pulley.

cant find spedo gear sets for under $50 plus shipping....when i can get some used ones for $5 plus gas
i know the 2wd 6cyl and 4 cyl s10 trucks have 3.73
most 4wd and awd s10s do too but i just want more options to look through and find the newest year possible that has the right ratio

oh and as for the serp. setup its not a factory motor all i have is alternator and water pump... no power steering ive modified a manual gearbox from a truck into my car turns just as easy as power steering did
i plan on having an idler pulley and a tensioner pulley both will be the 4 inch tensioner pulleys
meh ill figure it out.. it wont be the first time ive done this i made my own setup on my 86 turbo'd roller 2.8L fiero gt

Ok, well if you are going to go the cheap route, at least look up what color you should have and try to find that one. Keep in mind, you may not be able to get even within ten MPH unless you do both the drive and driven gear. Do things the right way so you don't have issues later on.
I still don't understand your belt question, if its only a water pump and an alternator, why is not a Vbelt set up?
