need help idle

Default need help idle

i have a 83 camaro z28 with the crossfire injection and it is idling to high. . is there any way to adjust or maybe if it is vacuum does anyone have a vacuum diagram for that car. all that i know has been done to it is edelbrock valve covers.

you might have a vaccum leak. check all the lines for cracks or if any might be disconnected.

Yeah, check you vacuum lines. Chances are if they have never been changed then they are cracked or just solid and are primed for cracking. Find any stiff or cracked lines and replace them.

I also had the same problem you are having. It turns out the threads where my TPS mounted into my throttle body was stripped causing it to not be seated fully and gave the computer a bad reading. The RPMs were high on idle and eventually the problem overheated the engine and cracked a head gasket. I dunno if thats your problem but hopefully it helps you out.
