I have an 85 with a carbed 305. It has begun bogging out at about 2,000 rpm. If I put the pedal to the mat it sputters until it hits about 2700 then picks up and goes like normal. I have no idea what is causing this and what I can do to fix it. Any ideas?

if it's a Holley carb, change the power valve.

 

how old is your catalytic converter? my 85Z used to stall like that, the cat was clogged solid
