And I get to fix it up for her! Yay me!
Seriously, it's going to be fun. I get to work on a classic Camaro and use someone else's $$$.
Here are some pics:

She paid $1300 delivered to my door, so I think she got a good deal. I had a look underneath it last night and everything seems pretty solid. It will need some repairs in the spare tire well, but someone has spent a bit of time and money under there. New floor pan in the drivers side, some new fuel lines, some new brake lines, brand new high-flow cat. It has been sitting for a while.
It starts, but runs like crap, mostly because of this I think:

Also the plugs are VERY fouled. I am replacing the plugs, cap and rotor, de-gunking that carb, putting all the vacuum lines back where they should be, and we will see if that helps out with the idle at all. It has a misfire and I need to hold it at about 2500 rpm to keep it running right now. Fuel filter will be done too I guess.
Should be a fun project, wish me luck!
I am sure I will be back more and more as we dig into this thing.

Wheels are in pretty tough shape, some knucklehead put chrome valve stems in them, and they are pretty badly rusted around the stems. I think I am going to blast them and PC them for her.
The car is going to be her summer cruiser. So this summer we will probably just be getting her cleaned up and running right. The paint looks like it was put on with a spray bomb, or possibly a roller. Either way, it needs to be fixed. She has a limited budget, so it will probably get a quickie home job to start and then she can get it professionally done later.
Other than the obvious underhood issues, it is going to need tires, brakes, a small fuel line repair, the PS fluid is leaking from somewhere, and there is a coolant leak as well. Judging by the way the WP looks, I'm going to start looking there.
It has been leaking oil for a VERY long time, it is going to take a bunch of clean up to get that determined. I'm sure the engine will be out of it at some point to get those leaks fixed as well.
We'll work on it as her budget allows and see how far we get this summer.

I gave her the first parts list. These were right at the top:

I'm hoping to have this thing running and idling right by the end of the weekend. She is supposed to be bringing out a load of parts on Saturday.
Thanks,

They do look wet.....I would be curious to see how long it takes new plugs to look that wet....It may be that you have an issue causing it to run rich, but If the plugs are that old I wouldn't use them to determing you have a rich condition...at least not yet. I've had issues with Qjets running rich and found it was a result of people trying to make the car run cooler which in turn jacked up the intended A/F ratio. Remember that this is semi-cpu controlled carb.
