im always getting **** about my car because it looks like crap due to it not being painted. i have done alot to it. the engine is new with one step up in the cam th700r4 with a shift kit rebuilt rear end with 373s and will be getting my exhaust done here pretty soon hopefully. so the thing is really nice but the guys at work will never quit tell i paint it. i was thinking of rattle canning it im going to take care of the minimal ammount of rust first. then probably do it but i dont want flat black because i always see a flat black 3rd gens rolling around so i was wondering what color i should go???

 

no one here can tell you what color you should paint, paint it what ever color you want. pick a color you like and take your time painting it. a rattle can job is only going to last you about 2-3 years before it looks like crap again, but if you correctly prep it, all youll have to do is sand it later before it gets a nice paint job.

 

yeah and i probably will paint it with real paint later on but i just want something to cover the whole car rather than being like 4 different colors

 

Tell the guys at work to shove it. Tell them you can have your car how ever you want it.

^ exactly! screw them, do your car the way you want it. A sleeper is a sleeper. On the other hand, a rattle can job would hold you over until you get the moeny for a proper job, if you want to go that way. As for color... that's all up to you. I personally like charcoal grey for third gens.

 

yeah one of them has a 10 sec chevelle so i dont think thats going to work very well ps thats at a mile high so its really a 9 sec car

 

umm..... well then he can talk **** lol. i personally love charcoal also.

 

yeah i dont know yet we will see right now its raining so i couldnt paint it anyways
