Default Is my eng blown?

Hi

91 w/305 and 160k

Was running fine, until this clanking sound started. Happens in drive and park, and changes wiyh rev.

Not the best audio - can you tell from listening to it what it might be?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a rod bearing to me, but you should find someone that knows what they are doing listen to it in person. There are some things that could sound kind of like that. Hearing where the sound is coming from is as important as the sound itself. Sounds through a mic have tricked me before. Could be a cracked fly wheel even something going on with the front pully or even wrist pin issue or piston slap.

Spinning a rod bearing was pretty common on the 305's even under warranty back in the day.
