here's a way to almost get 350 hp with a 305

http://www.hioutput.com/tech/343hp/343hp.html

still recommend getting a 350 though. With spending all the money on this. It will be much cheaper to go with a 350. Heads and cam on a good 350 will make some decent power for not to much money. All depends how crazy you wanna get

I have a 305 that i had bored out 40. over and put in new pistons, rings, mild cam, plugs, turned crank, and bearings. I didn't put it in my Camaro yet but will soon hopefully.I'm just wanting something with decent power but not a racer.

[QUOTE=Gorn;397880]All a turbo does is add air and that is all Nos does.
[QUOTE]
Actually NOS is nitrous oxide, sprayed like the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder. It burns quicker and colder, which creates the "boost." NOS does not just add air...
Plus NOS would blow the motor just as fast as a turbo if it isn't built to handle it.

oh my godd, i didn't even read all the posts. go with a 350 small block. more power for less money. most 305's are dogs. and turbo? a turbo? what is it a camaro or honda civic? no, all motor or supercharger.

you ****ers crack me up some days ..
lets look at shall we :
supercharger forces are in by being turned with a belt / pulley run off the motor .
turbo forces air in by being turned by exhaust gases . so if a turbo is rice then so is a supercharger , so your attempt at being a smart *** really just makes you look like a dumb *** .

plus with a turbo an the right setup you can up the boost on the fly, i'd like to see you change a pulley at wot .

check your facts. Earths atmosphere is 70% NITROGEN. N2O is is pretty much just bringing your own air.

your part right but n20 explodes under pressure an heat which realy gives the boost (other wise you could just hook up granma's oxogen bottle an do the same thing ) thats why n2o is so dangerous an why you can get n2o backfires in the manifold .
