I had the whole Autometer set up mounted in a Covan's Classics bezel. To hook up the speedo I contacted Rodger at Speedometer Service Company. They sold me a custom two peice speedo cable, hall effect unit (it replaced the VSS on the back of your stock speedo) and the right speedo gear and sleeve acording to my tire size and rear end ratio. Rodger at that place knows what he he doing. He was telling me what I needed before I could get out what I wanted. They are in Wisconson 414-463-6660 www.speedometersolutions.com

can you tell me exactly what you got, and where it came from. im in new hampshire so if its far from there, i might need to get it shipped. i do have a budget so pricey things isnt my style. im willing to spend 250 to 300. i just want an accurate speedo, i have 255/60/15 tires on it, so its off by a little, then its off by a lot. 5 mph slower, then after 50 its off by 10, i havent found out how fast im going when its pinned cuz my bud cant keep up. im guessing like at 85 im going bout 100 or 105. so i need a 150 or 160 speedo cuz i wanna top it out.

I had to get the cable, hall effect unit and gear with the housing sent to me and they were pretty quick about it. It all cost me $264 bucks though. The hall effect unit itself was $93 which is high. I think you can find them else where for half that. (it pays to shop around) But speedometer services made the two piece cable. They can also tell you which driven gear you need for your speedo according to the rear end ratio and tire size. I also bought all my gauges over time so it did not take a big chunk out of my walet.
I also bout one of these for the gauges. I would have made one out of aluminum if I was not so lazy!

I think you can find speedo cables on autometers web site. I think if you find one about 69" that will screw to your gauge and get a hall effect unit that will screw to where your speedo is on the tranny then all you have to do is find out the proper gear for the speed. And it is a 2 pulse hall effect unit.
