Default lt1 in an 88 camaro??

Hey,
recently bought an 88 camaro, had a 350 but no tranny. I was jus wondering if i pull that 350 out, would a lt1 and turbo 350, fit and match easy enough into my new project car? Thanks

unless you have about 4000 to get an LT1 just get a carbed 350 and build it. in my opinion its just a hassel to convert the 88 to an LT1.

I can get the Lt1 real cheap it wasnt a question of getting the engine or tranny, i jus want to know how much of a hassle would it be to convert the camaro to fit the lt1. and the existing 350 is carbed. But since its tranny-less i figured if i can get an lt1 in there easy enough i would.... anyone know of a step-by-step or someone who has?

its not very hard. drop the engine in, run your wiring harness, change the crossmember to support the tranny, splice your harness into the dash wiring, run some new fuel lines and a new pump, and thats pretty much it
