Do it and let us know!
I believe you will need to modify the oil pan and the engine crossmember to accomidate the A/C compressor. You will also have to find engine mounts. I have seen aftermarket ones being made but don't know who has them. Maybe Cantonracingproducts.com

I have seen a set up on ebay that converts a third gen to fit the LS1 (or LT1 not really sure) It includes the crossmember and mounts and a whole bunch of other parts for it. As far as the engine it self if it's a 350 it will fit. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

tranny, rear end, and driveshaft will need beefing. including axles. you will also need a k-member and engine mounts, which are availible. i saw a build up of one in a magazine, its not too hard to do
