Default ls1 maybe

ok my budget is 4,000 dollars and my stock 305 is getting tired!!! and i really wanna upgrade to somthing thats alot more impresive any sugestions i was thinking lt1 or sumthing ?? and if i did would it be a bolt in and go witch i doubt im sure im going to have to get a ecu and all thats **** im sure but what do you guys think and thanks for the advise

ur new to the forum, so heres ur warning no swearing. Welcom to camaroforums.

and you need new motor mounts to drop in a lt1

lt1 is a semi bolt in operation. Everything matches up, however the computer and harness must be replaced. LS1 ( like mentioned in the topic..?) is a big deal and will cost well over 4k to do correctly.

thank you very much for this reply and sorry for the swearing!! so all i need is new motor mounts i gues i could just go hei and carbed instead of the lame tbi and its a 5speed as well

LT1 share the same engine mounts, its just a good idea to replace them while its out. And the LT1 isnt a TBI setup like you currently have. That system thats on it factory is pretty good. they do have aftermarket manifolds for it though that can flow a bit more air
