lookin at a 92 Z28 just a few questions
I found a 92 z28 that im interested in getting. the guy has sent me pictures and information about the car. he put a new 350 in it and has all the paperwork for the motor and he got a new trans installed but lost the paperwork for that. he says its a z28 25th anni. and sent me a picture of the z28 25th anni emblem on the dash. im not too familiar with the 3rd gens as much as the 4th so i figured id post the ad let yall look at it and see what you think. its black, got the spoiler, and the hood looks like a 25th anni but it has no stripes which i thought all anni camaros had on them. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/2001117121.html

All the 92's had the badge on the dash, but the Heritage package (what you're referring to) is something additional. Have you read this yet? http://www.thirdgen.org/camaro-herit...niversary-1992
And $4,500 for a 92 that needs a paint job is very steep.

not to be a wordsmith or nit picker
the term "new" in this regard, does that mean brand spanking new engine or that the engine is new to the car aka it's not the original engine? The photo shows a TPI engine and those aren't brand new.
I've been debating rebuilding the running (no knocks or oil burn) motor in my 89 project or getting a "new" engine. You see, I could buy the $500 van engine that was "freshened up" 2k miles ago and my car would then have a "new" engine
I'd offer him in the 2's
FYI- when I'm done with my project it will have a rebuilt engine by me, the tranny serviced or rebuilt by a buddy, brand new leather interior, carpet, headliner, new brakes, the tires are already new and the car will be painted (by me) and I'll be looking to get $4-5k
My target market is the parents looking for a reliable $5k car for little Johnny or Jenny which are difficult to find and in good shape all around at time of purchase.

The only thing that needs paint are the two little hood vent things which is fine because i can pick up some paint at autozone or something and just do that myself, maybe hit em with some red i think that would look bad ***. its an engine/trans new to the vehicle. both have alil over 1000 miles on em. interior is clean, engine bay is clean has a decent soundsystem, new stock exhaust replacement and new tires. ill see how flexible he is on price. i read that article about the 92s and i was just unclear still on what came with the 25th anni as far as body and other various features wasnt sure if they all had the spoilers and what not because like i said im not familiar with the 3rd gens as much as the 4th.

you sound about as excited as the noobs who come in here asking about mods for a 3.1. for the wings, they were on the 90-92 z28 as they had discontinued the iroc model. like it was said, all of them had a 25th anniversry badge (just like the 30 and 35 for 4th gen), but that doesnt add any value to it
