Get a wire coathanger, straighten it out, and then put a small hook on the end, about half an inch wide, then stick it in the door between the window and weatherstrip, and fish around for the spot on the lock mechanism you need to hit to pull it open, it should be near the lock cylinder, and I THINK it pulls towards the back of the car, but I can't remember for sure.

It also makes it a ton easier if you have something to wedge in between the window, that way you have some space to move the hanger easily and you might even be able to see what you're hooking for.

I was looking in my instuctions with my slim jim kit (I have the slim jim for dummies) but it has instuctions for the use of one of the rods and pushing. I dont think a coat hanger will work for that.

Be sure afterwards to make a spare. To keep it close, find a spot on the frame you can put it, so your never locked out. A spot not easily found, but u know where its at. Just an idea

Little late to help you now, but I stopped at a gas station in upstate NY, and left the key in the ignition & accidentaly locked my dog in the car. Gas station attendant made a call to the NY Stape Police, and within 15 mins a state trooper showed up with slim jim kit, and unlocked my Camaro in less than 5 minutes, with absolutely no damage. The only time I was glad to have a state trooper mess with my car. LOL

Lol
I have a spare set of keys that I always keep in my wallet because the first 2 days I had my car I locked them into it like 6 times because there is no "Dinger" to let me know that the keys were in the ignition still

The old fishin pole trick!
I knew a kid that, on a cold morning, started his dads convertable to warm it up then stepped out of the car. His dad had an alrm the locked the doors. Well some others that were with us had fishing poles in thier trunk and used then to fit between the tpo and windo and pushed the button to roll the window down.
Dang! If I thought of that I could have told you earlier to get a fishing pole. But he did have a convertable so no damage. Just a little force.
