Default Little problem, maybe timing

ok i have a little problem with my motor at the moment. if i floor it or even give it gas right off idle, it does a little backfire out of the intake at a low rpm, as the rpm's are climbing. does anybody have any ideas on what could be doing this, i thought possibly timing. it has a brand new coil and spark plugs and wires, so it is getting juice.

I am sure the plug wires are in the right firing order, so the usual cause of spitting back is excessive spark advance, or an intake valve failing to close properly. Check you timing with a timing lite & see where you are standing.

it just started today. if it is not the timing, does that mean i need new valve springs? its most likely timing though.

Being that it is spitting at slow RPM it is more likely that you need a valve job rather than new springs. Check the timing at idle first. Also possible, but not usual, is too lean or too rich mixture which is still trying to burn when the intake valves open.

ok well now im pretty sure one of the intake valves are a little carboned up. tomorro im going to get some gas and burn it out of it. its got no liscense plates or nothng, so im just gonna keep the rpm's at around 3500 to 4000 rpm after it has plenty of time to warm. it just snowed here.
