This is the post you saw them mentioned: https://camaroforums.com/forum/82-92-general-10/turn-signal-problem-53809/
I forget which brand I got, but I got them in Autozone and they worked perfectly fine.

Im actually on vacation for the next week and a half so I wont be able to take any pics till then, sorry. I installed the leds in the front and the rear, and didnt have any issues with the flash pattern. I never actually tested the turn signal with leds in the front and regular bulbs in the back so I've no idea if there will be a flash issue with that setup.

If you wanted to do a custom setup, you could try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-CjBO9GVUA
Looks cool, but the led replacement bulbs do a great job with a lot less effort

if i go about getting them, i think ill get a full set from www.superbrightleds.com they have all sorts of configurations of bulbs that allow different angles of light to use the factory reflector, etc. etc. but they arent cheap

LED lights are awesome but can trigger a burnt bulb condition or when used as turn signals they can result in fast blinking of the lights. The solution to this is a high power resistor across the leads of the bulb that will simulate the old filament. Another solution in the case of turn signals is to replace the flasher. Many LED replacement light stores sell the flashers but many require re-wiring since they seldom match the carrier on our cars. These replacement flashes work with either filament or LED lights and many are solid state hence they make no clicking noise.
I had a motorcycle once that I went with LED lights for it. I had to use the resistors until I found the correct flasher. The fast blinking is annoying lol.
Anyways, it is doable and even autozone and advanceauto parts carry the replacement 1156 and 1157 type bulbs so they are readily available.
good luck
