since i have a 00 stang (v6 with mods) for a daily driver ive been doin alot of grinding and sanding and spraying a lot of primer. i hope to have most of the car primered and then paint it mat black and black out the tail the lights. i had to take the body kit off, thought it was going to be easyer then it was but i got through it. i need to put a new fender on the front passenger side then ill be taking out lights taking off the spoiler and the rest of the body kit and all spraying them separate. nothing about this is professional im doing it all my self. what do you think if the matt black idea? this is my first project and i dont suspect it to be mint when im done. this is the first car that needed body work i had a 97 deville i just added mods and i have a mustang with only mods so im learning as i go on this one. if you have any good pointers you may have learned by painting your own car please let me know

thats almost the exact look im going for besides some racing strips. are those tail light covers, did you buy them or am i just better off tinting the lights with the spray can?

 

i had covers but if you get covers dont trust the 3m velcro predrill them and screw them in or they will fall off

I have taillight covers and HAD headlight covers. the Taillight covers stay on for a while. but have to replace the velcro after a few months. one of the headlight covers flew off going about 80. its a 91 camaro. i dont know how to add pics or i would post them.
