i have a 87 z28, tpi 350, auto.
only every so often my car just wount start! happens when its hot or cold start. sometimes it wound start for hours and i will half to get towed home. othertimes i cuss at it and fires right up. iv replaced the statret 9times with my mechanic. took it to someone else, they said it was a small wire issue...and yet it still does it. and i never had this problem with the oem orginal starter! i dont even get a clicking sound like a dead battrie. it doesent turn the motor, or act like its jamed.

any ideas?

 

have you replaced the ignition switch yet ? tried starting it in neutral instead of park(if auto)

 

I have a member in our club that was having the same problem with his 92 RS it turned out to be the battery was just low on water. have you cleaned all your connectoins?
