ok, so im sorry for asking this question for all those who may have answered it many times before, but i took that little staple out of the shifter **** and it doesnt want to come off, any suggestions?

 

pull harder. its kinda hard to get off at first

 

I don't know if they do much road racing up there, but if you can find a local club (SCCA, NASA, etc.), they basically throw away the interiors and many have them just laying around because its too much trouble to ebay them.
