Default Insurance?

Hey i couldnt find any topics related to this so ill just give it a shot... Im 18, live in michigan and am thinking about buying a 86 Z28 with a 350 replacing the 305... I have one speeding ticket but recieved no ticket and have had my license for 2 years. Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much insurance would be? I wouldnt be getting full coverage.

Shouldn't be too much, about the same as any other vehicle. Third gens are no longer expensive vehicles to insure.

Start calling local insurance compaies for quotes. At your age & driving record expect to pay in the range of $1000 per year just for libabity.

That's about right for anything he drives. I'm 17 with a clean driving record and my insurance is $315 every half year, so $630 a year for liability.

Then my Jeep I pay $23 a month for just liability.

That's it? When I had a clean driving record I paid just over $2000/year just for liability on anything I drove.

Now I pay $2676/year. I got one too many speeding tickets and had my license suspended for a month.

And for age, I'll be 23 in 3 weeks.

Yeah Ebony, but you have universal health care in Canada! Gee, I wonder why your cost of living is more than ours?

I wonder how much you guys really know about our health care system~ Yeah, it's pretty good for coverage. It's also very bloated and costs 5 times as much as it should.

Stuff costs more 'cause we make more. And our money used to be worth a lot less compared to yours, back when the Liberals were in power. Still, doesn't mean I'm not gonna complain about how much cheaper you guys have it.

It takes less time to call Geico for a quote than it does to type this response.....

Anyway you look at it, you will pay through the nose. You can thank all your a-hole friends for the exorbitant rates. There is a reason why teenagers pay more, its because thet are responsible for more accidents. Its nothing personal....its all about experience. Just like a NBA player is better at the game than a HS JV player....

Also, get every discount that you can. Tell them you have daytime running lights and a theft deterrent system.

Good luck. Now go call Geico...
