Default insulation in trunk

I just looked for my jack and spare today and noticed that there is nothing in the well. its metal with a drai hole. i bet that allows cold and heat in to the car since there is no seperation between trunk and pass area.
Does any know if there should be something there or is this the way it is.

What you saw in there is what came from the Factory. Insulation in cars not much.

There should be a plug in the drain hole and with the panels on you are not going to get much heat loss or gain. Not like you are right next to it anyways.

carguy68ssrs got it right. There should be some insulation on the panels tho. If not you can always add some.

thats why older cars weigh less. no needless insulation. theyre may have been some on the plastic panel at one point. if you want to add some, go right ahead, but theres not really a good point to

There should have been a spare tire, jack and lugwrench inside.
