Default i have a camaro and a Q

I have a 1985 witha 2.8 and i want to convert it to a 350 (i read the sticky) i know hwo to do the motor swap just wondering what else i have to change... i went and got an IROC body kit for it, and like, where should i get the manual tranny for it, out of one with a 305 or 350 or does it matter... and what camaro's came with Posi rear ends, and if not a specific model, then how do i tell if it's posi... and if i get a differnt tranny and rear end, are all the drivshafts the same???? Thanks for all your help

Oh and the computer... when i do my conversion (motor) i know i'll need a computer from one that had the same motor (or just a v8 period?) but will i need all the wiring too???

you will need the computer for the motor (305 or 350 respectively)

good luck finding a manual out of a 350 IROC

Posi is hard to tell unless you look at the ID codes on the rears

Wiring will need to be changed because either

1. you are switching to Tuned Port
2. you are switching to carb AND

YOU WILL NEED TO CHANGE THE FUEL PUMP AND LINES

and motor mounts

Ughhh you cant get a 350's manual tranny. CHevy never bothered to put them in the cars with a 350 cause they couldnt handle the power and were too lazy to put in a better tranny.

Well, i like in Canada and think imight know where to get the tranny... so i need a tranny out of a 350 if i want one that'll hold up to it...
and for the wiring... Becuase it's tuned port i need new wiring... Ok... so if i go tuned port, would it be easier and chaper to set up a stand alone, or to go with stock

and it says in the techy that all you need is a computer, doesn't say anything bout the wiring

well you would need the wiring for the TPI system, and the injectors as well as a new fuel pump

depends on the top end of the original motor, was it MPFI or Carb? and depends on top end of the 350. you probably will have to up the fuel lines to feed a bigger carb, and if your switching from MPFI to carb you will have to switch the pump i think to avoid over feeding the carb with a high pressure system

Agreed. A fuel injection pump puts out way too much pressure for carburators.

Well the 2.8 was a MPFI, so if i build a MPFI 350, than i would have to upgrade the fuel lines... does this sound correct... but could i still use the original wiring? (for the computer) or would i need a computer out of a car with a MPFI 305 or 350?
