I dont know if any of you guys got Window tints but it doesnt hurt to ask a few questions...does anyone know how much it cost to get Window tints for an Iroc 87? is Wet Shrinking The same thing as Window tints? whats cheaper and what does " 5% window tints " mean? lmao, sorry for all the questions...But much help is appretiated!

 

I am no expert on tinting, but watch your state laws. Some locations get pretty cranky if u make the front side windows too dark. It also gives a cops an excuse to stop you and break your shoes.

 

I think something like 5% window tint is ok...whatever that means.

 

I just did mine, all 4 windows and the tops, Costs about 240 bucks. I went 5% on the tops and hatch, and the strip across the top windshield. Then 20% on the side windows. As i sit now, im illegal. I live in missouri. But 99% of the time the cops wont pull you over JUST for the windows. But if they get you for speeding or a light or anything else, you can bet your *** they will tac that on, its about another 100 bucks in your fine... a friend of mine got caught. The 5% is something to the effect of how well you can see into the car. 0% being pretty much a vinal and the higher the percent, the easier it is to see in. It goes in 5% intervals. Personally, i wish i woulda gone 5% all around, looks freakin sweet on a red car, but my setup looks alright.

yup. side note, they might put a piece of black vinal on the outside of your rear hatch to cover the defrost.

 

About those state laws.
Yeah...check them out.
When I bought my ro' it was already tinted.
I then foudn out my freaking car was illegal.
Enter me scraping the tint off with a razor.
I wasn't fun.
At all.

hey 350rs would you mind posting some pics of your car. I'm thinking of doing mind and i want to see how it looks. My car is white and i think the tint should look nice on the car.
