is your 8th digit for the engine code on the vin a F or H?

Well sure as H-ll no one on the internet can know what you have, but my guess it is plain jane LT model.

Make sure you entered the numbers correctly. As a test, I just tried that decoder using my old 91's VIN, and the info came up correctly showing it as an RS.

Ok I had to do it on my laptop it cam back as a 2door coupe

Can't say, but the decoder does work on other 87 Camaro's, so it's not a model year issue. However the 87 I tried was a Z28, and the decoder only classified it as a "coupe", so the results on yours might not be as detailed as it was on my 91 (could be because there were only two model choices).

Just pick which one you want it to be and go with it at this point.
Also, are you sure that it is a carb motor? Not to insult anyones intelligance but the first time I saw a TBI motor I thought it was a Carb car. You might be able to find info in the door jams or if you get desperate enough call your chevy dealer and see if someone will help you out that way.

My car was Tbi but has been swapped to a quadra jet carb I kinda hope its a z28 I found out it has the extended sound range

We found where the injector wires where cut they cut one but not the other
