high heat issue...

i also noticed that the air intake temp. sensor has a wire that goes to the fan motor, would this sensor dying make the fan screw up?

turned on the A/C and the fan didnt kick on ( i didnt hear it anyway ) the temp. still rose to near 240

Does the fan definitely go on at 240 degrees? If it does, it still could be that your gauge may be off. If it doesn't, check power at the fan with a meter, when the engine is up to temp. The fan itself could be the problem too.

i just noticed today that when you turn the key to "on" the coolant or temp. light doesnt come on...though i dont remember it ever coming on...i gues i'll start with a new motor, then hit all the sensors.
