Default hey guys.. need help

ok, got the new camaro fired up today..

but, when we pour water into the radiator it runs into the block, and back out.. somewhere around the oil filter? towards the rear of the engine cavity to the right (assuming you're facing the car from the front)

poured 3 courts of oil in, holding oil.. when we picked up there was also red fluid on the concrete below when we moved it. tranny fluid?

but, after new battery, new oil, fresh gas it'll start up and run strong.. but won't hold coolant.. not sure about the tranny though, just let it idle for about 30 seconds in neutral..

help plzz.

plz god, not a cracked block...

alright.. when we jacked it up on the other side it leaked from the lower side (left) and not the right side (original low side)... just water taking path of least resistance? i got my garden hose out and let water constantly flow thru and it didn't leak from the right side at all.. if you're looking at the freeze plugs (on right side under manifold) up and towards the front of the block it's cracked

maybe one of your sensors are loose enough where the coolant can leak out

You can get the crack in the block welded, and there are guys who can even come out to do it. Call a couple of local body shops and see if they have a name to give you. Cracked blocks (mounting horns, etc.) aren't uncommon in a crash, and engines aren't generally scrapped because of it.

went to a mechanic today and he said that for him to get a 305 and install and everything to get it running was $2k

i would liek to do a 350 but, wouldn't the computer have to be reprogrammed and all that stuff? and a new tranny, etc..
